Aes smirked. "Yes, it is. World-class bounty hunter, at your service," she boasted smugly. "Sadly, I don't have that much money to show for it. I was hoping to make a bit catching some pirates, but I'm not in any condition to do that now." She sweatdropped.
"Hm, what about you? What brings you here?"

Artemis gasped. "Oh, wow, that's so cool! I, uh... have a boring job." She stuck her tongue out and scratched the back of her head, embarrassed. "Artemis Wylder, weapon and armor designer extraordinaire. I got called here on commission, but my client hasn't shown up. I'll call him later, I guess. In any case, I'm nowhere near world-class! Oh, and make a left up here."

"Hm? Okay." Aes didn't know what else to say, so she walked in silence for a while, simply enjoying the other's company.

Artemis hmm-ed. She was never good with silence, though it was remarkably comfortable when she was with Aes. Still, she felt the need to say something.
"Soo... who was that person on the WaveBike you were with?"

Aes glanced at Artemis suspiciously, and then relaxed. Artemis wasn't a rival bounty hunter, she was fairly sure, so there was nothing to worry about.
"That was Skye, the pirate known as 'The Limit.'" She paused, unsure of what else to say. I sprinted after him with the intention to kill him. He helped me after I hurt my ankle. He's quite a gentleman. He's a jerk. "...We don't really know each other that well."

Artemis froze. Tha-that was Skye?! All she had seen of her was a flash of white hair and a WaveBike.
"S-Skye's a pirate now?! I-I-I-I... what?! No way! Why didn't she recognize me? Aagh! Do you know where she was headed? Maybe she's still on this island. Can we please go look for her after we get your gun fixed? Pleasepleaseplease? Aagh! This is too weird!" She knew she was babbling, but at the same time, this was her sister. The one that she thought was dead for over two years. It was like impossible that she would find this out now, right? Well, maybe it wasn't impossible. She did just see her. How could neither of them recognize the other? Man, now her brain was rambling too. Shut up, brain. Artemis hit herself in the forehead. "Ow."

Aes stared in disbelief as the rambling girl slapped herself in the head.
"Umm....I don't think you're talking about the same Skye. First off, that guy's a...guy. Second, he's been a pirate for a really long time." She gestured pointedly at a Wanted poster they were passing by. "And.....yeah. Who's this other Skye you're talking about?"

Artemis blinked. And stared. And blinked again. "A guy?! What? Skye is totally a girl's name! Haha, that's weird. Man, sucks to be her- uh, him. S-he's wanted and everything? Whoa. Yeah. Uh, so Skye is my sister... well, not that Skye, but the better--no, the one that- wait, I'm rambling again. Hold on."
She paused and took a deep breath, then massaged her temples. "Okay, so! I have a sister named Skye, but she's not the same person that you were just with. Yeah. She kind of looks like me, except way older, so I got confused, 'cause she has white hair too, and I thought that wasn't very common... before I came to Ceyestis, anyway. Geez." Artemis laughed, swinging her cat back and forth (she was holding it by a back paw now). "Oh, yeah, right turn!"

Aes looked down at the ground for a while, reminiscing. She sighed, and then looked at Artemis again.
"Where is your sister now? Are you looking for her?"

Artemis replied, "I dunno--I haven't seen her in two years. I don't think I'm actively searching, but I follow clues if they show up. "Why? Do you have any siblings?"

"I used to have a brother," Aes answered blandly. "He died a long time ago." She stopped and looked up. "Is this the place?" she asked, pointing to the sign.

"Eh?" Artemis turned around to look at the store that Aes was pointing at. "Oh, eheheh, yeah, that's it." Oops, she'd walked past it. She rubbed the back of her neck, embarrassed yet again, and walked inside.
"Hey mister, do you do guns?" she chirped.
An middle-aged, stout man rubbed his completely bald head and looked up at her through his thick brows. He grunted and resumed polishing a rapier blade. "Depends on wha's a'matter with 't."
Artemis frowned. "It's... uh... broken?"

"Yeah." Aes took out her gun and dropped it on the counter. "It's been crushed, and some of the bullets are probably stuck inside it, so the interior's probably warped."
The gunsmith stared at the gun and snorted, "Your gun's broken beyond repair. And 'nyways, hat model's obsolete. Maybe you'd like to buy a new one?" He stood up and motioned towards various weapons on the wall, each labelled with prices Aes knew were out of her range.
".....Are you sure you can't fix this? Or maybe get me something similar?"

Artemis listened to the exchange between Aes and the bald man. Something similar? She looked at the gun. The weapons smith was right, the model was pretty obsolete--a good five years old... maybe. She had never been good at guessing ages of anything she came in contact with. It could definitely do with an upgrade or twelve.
Then she had an epiphany. A wonderful epiphany! Artemis had a wonderful, awful epiphany!
Being the tactless child she was, Artemis slammed her hands down on the man's desk and practically shouted, "HEY MISTER!"
He jerked in surprise, then glared. "What?"
"How much would it cost to repair her gun?"
"More 'n it's worth, an' you can get a new one for cheaper."
"How much for the new ones?"
"The prices're ON them."
Artemis lowered her voice conspiritorially and asked, "How much if I gave you a blueprint and asked you to make it?"
"More."
"...Oh. Well, alright. This one's too expensive, Aes. C'mon, let's go back and accept the offer that other guy had-"
The weapons smith stood up and cleared his throat. Artemis turned expectantly and frowned, then offered, "gesundheit." He gave her a weird look and shook his head.
"I-uh, that other guy wouldn' happen t' be Carmichael, would he? 'Cause, uh, you don't wan' ta work with the likes of 'im."
Artemis blinked. "Who-"

Finally realizing what Artemis was up to, Aes put a hand on her shoulder, stopping her from exposing them.
"Yes, I believe his name is Carmichael. Very friendly man. He said he could fix my gun and upgrade it. I don't know why we shouldn't go back right now. Come to think of it, I don't know why we didn't accept his offer then and there. Let's go, Artemis." She turned to leave.
"W-wait!" the man pleaded. "I...maybe we can work something out."
