Aes looked up to see Sasaki striding away. She turned to Skye.
"Well.....that was fun. Thanks again. But don't think I'm just letting you go like that. I'll be watching you." She glared at him, and tried to make a haughty exit, limping as she did so. She didn't realize the other girl hurdling towards her. They collided ungracefully (is there any other way?) and Aes collapsed for the second time within an hour.
"...Ow."

"Owwies," Artemis groaned, sitting up and rubbing her head, which had connected painfully with this Aes-lady's collarbone. Where had she come from, anyways?
Wait... what was she doing before she crashed? Running... after....
"Oh no!" Artemis yelped, jumping to her feet. The guy that was going on an "upgrade spree" had left without a trace. She hmph-ed and crossed her arms. "Poop."
...Oh, right, the Aes-lady. She cocked her head and thought. What was one supposed to do when one collided with another person again...?

Aes got up and dusted herself off nonchalantly. Although she didn't show it, she was getting rather fed up with her own carelessness. She looked at the girl she had collided with from under the brim of her cap. She didn't look too dangerous, or dangerous at all, for that matter, but instinct made Aes put her hand on her holster. Her gun felt strange, kind of lumpy. She pulled it out and stared at in disbelief. It was broken. She didn't know whether it had damaged when she broke Damian's fall or just now, but she'd have to get it fixed. She sighed, and put it away, then looked up at the girl again.
"Uhh...sorry about that. You okay?" There was no expression in her voice.

Artemis blinked at the broken gun. Oops. Was that her fault? She hadn't heard anything break....
"Uhh...sorry about that. You okay?" Aes-lady asked her. Artemis frowned, then broke into a grin. Right, that was what she was supposed to say! "Oh, right, thank you!" she chirped. Then she paused. "Um, let's see... yep, I'm good. Are you okay? Was that my fault?" She pointed at the gun, but watched the woman.
Aes-lady was younger than Artemis had originally assumed. She looked more like "Aes-peer," but that sounded weird.

Skye sat on the seat of his Wave Bike, laughing. "Quite careless aren't we?" he called, holding his right right knee as his leg was on the seat. "Well, it's been quite entertaining you two, but I'm afraid it's time to go," he said, shrugging. He turned to his Wave Bike and turned it on, listening to the purr of the engine as he let it warm up again. With a push off of the ground, he sped off into the seas, tearing up the tranquil waves by making his own water trail.

Why is this girl thanking me? Aes was about to reply when she heard Skye laughing at her. She whipped around just in time to watch him push off and zoom away, and could only glare at the pulsing ripples he left behind. After glaring at the shrinking speck in the distance for a few more seconds, she turned around to face the girl, her face expressionless once again.
"Hm, I don't think so. I've been pretty clumsy today..." She gestured at her bandaged foot. "So it was probably my fault. Sorry. But, uh, I need to get my gun fixed...do you know if there are any gunsmiths around?"

Artemis watched the man race away. Aes-lady-peer seemed to have a knack for scaring people away or something.
She turned back to Aes just in time to hear her ask about a gunsmith. "I only got here yesterday," Artemis said apologetically. "I dunno about gun smiths, but there was a sign somewhere that said 'weapons smith'--we could try there and see if they'll do it." She raised an inquisitive eyebrow at Aes's injury. "And what's with your foot, anyway? Did that guy run over it or something? Can you walk?"

Aes gave a short bark of laughter. "Ha! No, he didn't run over it. Some guy fell about 20 feet and landed on top of me. I'm fine." She began to hobble towards the main street, with obviously no idea where she was going.

"Whoa, seriously?" Artemis was amazed. She skipped after Aes. "That's kind of... funky. Is he still alive? You're limping. Do you want me to get you a walking stick or something? You don't know where you're going, right? Hold on a sec!" she said without stopping to breathe. Artemis darted into a nearby store and slammed the door behind her.
Once inside, she spotted the cashier and yelled, "Hey mister! Got any free canes for a cripple? We're in dire need and if you don't give us one you'll have bad karma for the rest of your life and your shop will fail miserably and you'll live with the guilt for all eternity and it will condemn your immortal soul whatever those are and we really do need one!" She paused to gasp for air, then smiled brightly.

"Uhh..He's..No..Mayb-...okay..." was all that Aes managed to say by the time Artemis had disappeared into a nearby store. She stopped walking and scratched her heard.
Curioser and curioser...That girl's a strange one. She stood still for a moment, and then began to limp towards the shop.

After using a few more of her... "persuasion" tricks, the man in the store relented and gave Artemis an old walking stick (that looked suspiciously like a broomstick) for free.
"Thank you!" she called over her shoulder, opening the shop door . She bounded outside, waving the stick above her head. "I got it!"

Aes watched the girl running towards her, waving around what looked like a very old mop handle, and couldn't help but smile.
"Thanks, ...umm...what's your name?"

Artemis saw the woman smile, and grinned back. "I'm Artemis, and this," she handed the walking-broomstick to Aes with a flourish, "is your new walkingbroomstickthing!"

"Thank you, Artemis." Aes gratefully took the walking stick, and although she didn't really think that she needed it, she wanted to show that she was thankful, and decided to use it. So she hobbled along with the cane like an old woman. As they walked, she turned towards Artemis.
"I'm Aes, by the way."

"You're welcome, and I knew-" Artemis stopped. Oh, right, Aes didn't know that she was eavesdropping. Eheheheh. "Well, I know--it's not like he's dead--a guy that mentioned something about an Aes once... is your last name Plummet?"
Excellent, she made a save and remembered to ask a question she'd had in the back of her head at the same time. Go Artemis!
