Aes took the man's hand and got up. Her entire body was smarting and covered in dust.
"I'm fine. You're lighter than you looked." He was dressed rather well, and she glanced at his face, so that she could remember it and "accidentally" bump into him someplace where he could buy her dinner in thanks. She turned and was about to resume her hunt, when she froze, and turned slowly around to face the man again.
"You're....Da-"
Suddenly she heard a familiar voice behind her and turned again. Limit had returned, and not only that, but was asking in a saccharine voice for her to stop chasing him. Aes was thoroughly confused.
"Uh, what? Huh? Why did you come back?"
Suddenly, her ankle, which had been unusually numb since she cushioned Damian's fall, began to throb in pain. She winced slightly.

"You're hurt," Skye said, picking the young woman up into a bridal carry. "You shouldn't be walking like this, and in this position I know you certainly can't hurt me. Besides, I'm retired, and I'd really like to clear up this little mix-up." He then turned to the young man and said, "By the way, I've got to thank you. Your fall ensured that I don't turn into mince meat for nothing."

By now, Damian was considerably confused.
"Ah... wait a second! I thought you were running away from her", he said to the other man. "Why- You- Her- Chase- Gun-"
Damian stuttered, trying to figure out what was going on. Then he paused, and finished lamely, "You're welcome."

Aes blushed when she found herself being picked up by Skye.
"P...Put me down!" she sputtered indignantly, resisting slightly, but she knew she didn't have much of a choice. She would have to take Skye for his word and go along.
Aes twisted around to point an accusing finger at Damian. "I'll remember you! You..you owe me your life!" With that, she slumped in Skye's arms and crossed her own, sulking.

"Don't worry, I'll remember", Damian grinned and waved. "See you guys around!"
He then jogged off to where he had agreed to meet up with Atticus, thinking to himself: Wow, this place is great! Just a few minutes in and something exciting already happened! Looks like I made a good choice when deciding to come here...

Skye merely smiled as she resisted, and walked away after nodding slightly to the young man. "Now, let's go find somewhere to treat that leg, shall we? I know I've got some bandages in my Wave Bike," he soothed as he walked towards the beach. He set her down gently on the seat of the bike, and opened the back compartment as he asked, "So, what are your motives? Fame? Fortune? I can tell you this, no one's going to let you live after you have my head." He pulled out some adhesive and gauze and began to dress the wound. "Of course, this probably won't help, but it should make it heal faster. It's just a minor sprain, but it'll keep you from chasing anyone on foot for a while. There, all done!" He finished bandaging the leg and put his stuff away.

Sasaki brisked around the area, checking out what is in this new place. He came upon a few individuals who are acting weird on the spot. What the? he thought, as he saw a man carrying a woman the princess way, and then sets her down on a motorcycle and takes care of her wounds. Maybe they know about this area... I should go ask them what facilities this island has.
He walked up to them and waited for them to notice him. "Hey there," he greeted. "I just came upon this place and I was wondering if you two could tell me what this place is famous for, or if there are any interesting shops around for me to wander around." Sasaki gave a smile as he looked at Skye first, then at Aes.

What are my motives? "Hm. Dinner," Aes answered bluntly.
"Thanks," Aes said automatically after Skye had finished bandaging her foot. She hopped off the bike and was testing her foot gingerly, when a man had approached them and asked for directions.
"Uhh..I've never been here before...but maybe...?" she glanced at Skye quickly, still slightly disoriented from the little excursion.

Skye turned to the young man. Che...I lost my chance... he grimaced inwardly at his thought. "Hm...All I know is that Ceyestis is one large resort, so I'm sure wherever you go, you'll find something interesting. Make sure you stay out of the way of the tall buildings though, as lots of people tend to fall off the railings," he finished, chuckling at Aes.

Sasaki didn't quite get why Skye chuckled after what he said -- he didn't find anything funny about it. But he did get some information about this place; his hunch about this place being a resort was correct. Now that he asked them for questions, he thought it would be the most appropriate if he introduced himself to these two nice people.
"Name's Sasaki," he ice-breaked. "I'm new from around here, so that was why I asked you for information around this place. I hope I didn't intrude you two." He looked at Aes, then at Skye again.

"They call me Skye. Just...Skye," he paused, looking at the young woman before him. I really hope she doesn't tell him who I am...then again, it's not that hard to figure out... he thought, sweatdropping. "I'm enjoying some retirement from business right now, and I haven't been here too long myself. And you?" he asked, obviously directing his question at the young woman.

What is he thinking??? Obviously Skye was hoping to get caught, giving his name out so readily. Aes was glaring reproachfully at Sasaki for no apparent reason, when she realized that Skye had asked her a question.
"Uh, me? I'm here for...work." She pretended to ignore the fact that he had been asking for her name, in a futile attempt to buy some time to consider the risk.
Ah, what's there to lose?
"...My name's Aes."

( Edited for typos D: )
Artemis leaned against a lamppost, one hand in a pocket and the other holding her stuffed cat by the tail. True, she was eavesdropping--a habit she picked up when she was very young. Her back was to the people, but from what she could hear, there were two men and a woman. All sounded to be either in their late teens or early twenties, but their conversation was very, very, very, very dull. They were all being vague. She blew some hair out of her face and sighed. Man, she was bored.
Her potential client, a retired official that lived on this island now, was supposed to meet her here in a few minutes--something about a ship upgrade, as per usual. It was always the same old, same old.
"Hnnnugh," she groaned quietly. So very, very, very, very dull.
Eh, so the girl was named Aes. Artemis wondered if she was Aes Plummet. Somebody mentioned something about a girl named that. She couldn't remember who or what, though. Just the name. Go figure.
...This wasn't interesting at all.

"So, Skye and Aes, is that it?" Sasaki made sure he got their names right. After all, they were a pretty good help. "It's nice to meet you. Now if you will excuse me, I need to go do a bit of an upgrade spree."
He turned his back around and walked back to where he came from. After a few steps he looked back and said, "Hope we will meet again!" And with that, he ran off.

"Blah blah blah blah upgrade spree."
Artemis perked up. Upgrades? Maybe he was the guy that she was supposed to meet! She whirled around excitedly only to see him practically fleeing from the other two. Were they really that weird?
"Hey, wait!" Artemis called out to him. If he was her client, then he was going in the wrong direction. Idiot. "Mister! Wait up!" She barreled forward, not seeing the Aes woman directly in her path.
