Feeling a little ruffled, Damian entered the Pineapple Inn, hoping they still had vacancies.
After his encounter with the girl he fell on and the guy who seemed to know who she was, Damian reported back to the Star Skipper, only to nearly get beaned by Atticus's frying pan. ("WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT NOT DOING ANYTHING RECKLESS?!") He was then sent off to find a place to stay, with his dear companion's darkly muttered oaths fresh in his mind.
Spotting the reception desk, Damian strode towards it and said cheerily to the woman behind the desk, "Hello! And how are you on this lovely day?"
The woman glanced up and said expressionlessly, "I'm actually quite thirsty, thanks. Now how many will it be?"
Seeing that he wouldn't be able to charm his way into getting a free room this time, Damian simply handed over the money for a standard two-bed room and accepted the keycard. Thinking he'd report back to Atticus after he had some time to calm down, Damian walked over to the elevator and pressed the up button. With this done, he leaned against the wall and waited.

This is probably over half an hour after Damian checked in.
Artemis burst inside the Pineapple Inn, looking around for a table that she and Aes could sit at. Almost immediately, she spotted a small café-style area past the reception desk. "Here, here! Aes, I found a table!" She plunked down in a seat and pulled up her legs to sit cross-legged on the chair, then set her cat on the table and waited for Aes.

((.___. Oops. I messed up somewhere....Er, nevermind @__@ ) Slipping silently through the door, Aes spotted Artemis already halfway across the room. When Aes was called over to the table, she scanned the room for bounties by habit before going to sit with Artemis. "Hm, so, you want anything to drink? My treat," she offered, trying to lessen her guilt for all the help she had received from her companion.

"Ooooh, really? Can I have chocolate milk?" Artemis asked excitedly. She hadn't had that in ages! Heck, she hadn't had milk in a while. It was always water. Bo-ring. ...Wait. She was going to do something. What was she thinking about before Aes came over? Chocolate milk... no. Somewhere to sit... no. Cat will get dirty if it goes on the ground... no. Guns... oh! Right! Artemis snapped her fingers and started rummaging through her bag for a pen and some paper.
"So, uh, how's your foot doing?" she asked conversationally. Where did she put her pen again?

"Ah..my foot." She had almost forgotten about it. ((Actually, I forgot about it -__-; ) "It's doing pretty good. I don't think I'll be needing this cane much longer. Hold on, let me get you your chocolate milk." She stood up and walked over to the counter where she assumed they sold drinks. When she asked for Artemis's drink, the bar looked at her skeptically before reaching into a cooler and dropping a small carton of it on the counter. Aes got herself some sparkling water, and returned to the table with a drink in each hand. "Here," she said, handing Artemis the carton of milk along with a straw. "Oh, and do you need to look at my gun for the blueprint? It's kinda messed up right now, though." She reached for her gun, ((which she just couldn't find, 'cause Batman stole it and he shot and he missed, and Jackie Chan deflected it with his fist then he jumped in the air and he did a somersault while Abraham Lincoln tried to pole vault onto Optimus Prime, they collided in the air and they both got hit by a Care Bear Stare! Um, just kidding. I got carried away there.)) waiting for the other's response.

"Ooh, yay! Thank you!" Artemis set her recently uncovered pen on the table and chugged a huge amount of the chocolate milk, then wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "Mm, yeah, seeing your gun would be good. I need to know what to keep and what I can change, though. What did you like about your gun, back when it still... uh... functioned properly?"

"Hm." Aes took her gun and placed it on the table. The gun was in pretty bad shape. The plasma still inside it had caused it to implode, and parts had fallen off. How was I unable to notice this?!? she thought. "Well, the gunsmith back there was right. The model's really obsolete. I'd probably want a more up-to-date handle. Uhm...this gun didn't have much recoil, so I guess that was nice. It was also easy to reload." She rubbed her chin, trying to remember what else she liked about the gun. She never got to know her gun well, never formed the bond that most other hunters seemed to forge with their weapons. Unable to come up with anything else, she shrugged and said, "That's about it."

"Okies, cool," Artemis said. She picked up the gun and looked at it for a few seconds, then set it back down and drew a big "T" on her paper.
"Alright. Here are the good things," she pointed at the left column, "and here are the bad ones. Good: plasma bullets, I assume. Easy to reload, not a lot of recoil, barrel length, material quality. Bad: grip, trigger reaction time, accuracy, and force. Simple enough."
Artemis grinned evilly. "Now, what should we not fix for that grumpy old man? You definitely deserve a better gun than whatever we give him." She then giggled and took her chocolate milk and blew bubbles in it through the straw, thus completely ruining any drama she'd hoped to attain.

"...Uh...." Aes had no idea what to say. "I don't...really think so...but...how about..." She ran her finger down the list and stopped at "accuracy."
"If he happens to forge the gun and sell it to other bounty hunters, that'll cripple my competition." She managed a smirk, and pulled back to take a sip of her drink. Satisfying.

"Okies, cool," Artemis said. She then blinked and wondered if she really said that as much as it was starting to seem.
"So he'll get a boring-accurate gun, and you'll get an especially accurate one!" she laughed. "I don't want to make it so bad that he actually finds something to 'fix,' after all. That'd ruin my feeble-as-it-is reputation!" With that, she gulped down the last of her chocolate milk and began sketching out Aes's new gun.

"Alright then," Aes said, leaning forward to watch as Artemis began designing her new weapon. Before long, she found herself intrigued by the gun that came to life by Artemis's hand. She muttered an amazed "Wow."
"...How long have you been designing guns?"

Having called Atticus (and finding him much more calm than before), Damian jogged down the stairs, back to the ground floor. He had spent AGES waiting for the elevator going up, and besides - he liked the exercise.
Damian looked around and spotted a drink vendor, deciding to get a soda while he waited for his companion to arrive. Handing over a few coins, he grabbed a drink and took a huge gulp. As he drank, he scanned the room, and nearly choked when he saw who else was there.
It was the girl he had fallen on. Damian still felt a bit guilty about injuring her, and decided to go apologize.
"Hey, I'm really sorry about before", he said, walking over to where she was sitting with another girl. "Hope you're not hurt..."
He noticed the other guy wasn't with her. "So, where's your boyfriend?"

"Hmm...." Artemis pondered the question. How long had she been designing guns?
"Well, let's see... I've been designing stuff for since I was a little kid, just for fun. I started specializing in weapons and armor, for both ships and sometimes people, for a job two years ago. The first handgun I did was a year and a half ago. Handguns are still relatively new to me, but they're not that far of a stretch from a ship's guns. It's mainly the grips and stuff that I have to think about. Oh, speaking of grips, your new gun's going to look more like a laser-shooting gun. It'll feel and weigh about the sameas your old one, but if I want to keep it from blowing itself up, it's gotta look different. I'm rambling. How long have you been a bou...." She drifted off, watching as some guy she didn't recognize walked towards them. He appeared to be looking at Aes.
"Hey, I'm really sorry about before. Hope you're not hurt..." he said. "So, where's your boyfriend?"
Artemis fell out of her chair, landing with a loud "thud." "Y-you're DATING that guy?! No way!"

Aes turned a shade of red to match that of her hat's. Unaware of this, she spun around in her chair to glare coolly at Damian, only her obvious deep blush betraying her.
"He's not my boyfriend. I just met him today. He's a wanted man, just like you, Damian Wellington," she hissed, leaning forward menacingly. Suddenly, she lost her balance, and also fell off her chair. She quickly got up, dusted herself off, and sat back down, crossing her legs.
"And I'm fine, thankyouverymuch."

"Oh." He had assumed they were... why else would she be chasing him? Unless...
"Then you're a bounty hunter?" Damian asked, plopping down in the seat opposite them and grinned. "So why haven't you captured me yet?"
