[edityedity~ talked to SkyeSong who talked to Azu, now making the DeAnam's abilities a bit more techno based >3 if it's still not good enough, just say so]
Character Name: Feile DeAnam (FE-la)
Age: 15
Gender: Male (though technically a hermaphrodite…explained later)
Class: Official (of Tyarrhus)
Ship: The Shooting Star (unwillingly). His family ship is The Eclades.
Weapons: The only weapon he has is not a physical one. His family has a history of experimenting on their children, which often times cause odd side effects that are used to the families advantage. Feile’s is the ability to see over distance, which is used most often for espionage.
Personality: One can most definitely tell Feile is a nobleman. He walks with an air of grandeur, and has much more pride than the common man. This pride of his often makes him seem arrogant and rebellious to others, but to Feile it’s nothing more than normal behavior. His knowledge of multiple languages and his style of speaking make him hard to deal with verbally, as he can usually gain the upper hand with words. However, do to his weak physical strength, he is an easy target for rough housers, since he cannot defend himself very well. His glaring weakness torments him, and he has resolved to become stronger once he gets the chance.
Appearance: The blue hair and eerie golden eyes Feile has are tell-tale signs he’s a DeAnam child. Strange colors seem to run in his family (his two sister’s having pink and purple hair colors, and red and unnaturally bright green eyes...usually because of certain chemicals injected into the body that change the pigment). His hair is grown out slightly past his shoulders, and normally held in a low ponytail. The left side of his bangs also never seem to be able to stay down, and always fan up and away from his forehead. He build is also very slight, almost feminine. He doesn’t have much muscle mass, since he wasn’t allowed to do much outside what his father wished. Although normally in a nobleman’s clothes, currently he wears what’s considered “commoner” clothes.
Family Background: The DeAnam family is a highly regarded Official family, mainly for the fact that most of its offspring tend to have "special abilities". The DeAnam bloodline seems to produce the best candidates for experimental procedures, often involving unknown foreign substances (many collected in the depths of the seas), and certain mechanical implants that activate some of the 90% of unused and unknown brain functions humans have. Like the Egyptians of old, in order to keep this high productivity in the family line, there have been instances of incest, thus resulting in some retarded or malformed children, and many still births (as the blood thinned, the rate of a child aquiring these special traits declined so greatly, it almost wasn’t worth it to marry outside the family). In this time, there are very few “true” DeAnam’s left, and the current head of the family doesn’t even have an ability himself, though three of his children do. The abilities of this family attract many high class Officials for various reasons, and there are usually many dark dealings within the family business as well. Out of the three special children, Feile has the weakest ability, although being the oldest male puts him in line to become head of household. His middle sister, Aoibhanne (EE-vahn), is the most coveted, having the ability to see the future. His youngest sister, Saibh (Siev), has the ability to control people after making eye contact (she normally has to be blindfolded, since she’s very young and doesn’t have full control over her ability yet). Often times, Feile is used to spy on other nobles, or in some cases, pirates. Since his ability doesn’t allow any sense except of a visual state (meaning no auditory), he has learned to read lips very accurately.
With the blood of the DeAnam’s becoming so weak, his father actually wants Feile to impregnate his younger sisters (which Feile is severely opposed to). He is often kept in a room with his sisters, which his father hopes will bring them closer, and also hopes Feile’s puberty will get the better of him (which even if he did [and he won’t], wouldn’t result in anything since Feile is, unknowingly, infertile).
Feile’s History: Feile’s mother is also his great aunt, which, you may have already guessed, has caused some problems within his family. The only surviving male child of his father, he stands to inherit everything. With the exception of the family dealings with the darker side of nobility, Feile lead a pleasant life of a rich man’s son, being too young to remember any of the horrible experimentations and injections he had gone through as a small child. His two greatest companions were his gifted sisters. He would often remove Saibh’s blindfold when it was just the three of them, which she appreciated to no end. When he turned thirteen, though, his father started behaving strangely, often locking him in a room with his sisters for days on end. He soon found out about his father’s plans to couple him with his sisters, he made plans for escape. His two devoted sisters also helped in his endeavor, Aoibhanne seeing nothing but pain for him in the future unless he left. Saibh was the greatest help, controlling all the guards while Feile made his escape. He quickly exchanged his clothes for more common looking ones, although he still looked like a noble with his colorings and the way he carried and conducted himself. While trying to figure out where to stay one night so he wouldn’t be caught by his father, he was soon found by an equally dangerous person. Captain Shefald of the infamous Shooting Star happened upon Feile by chance. Just one look at Feile, and Shefald knew he had struck gold. Feile didn’t stand a chance when Shefald kidnapped him and swiftly took him out to sea. Captain Shefald has decided to “escort” Feile for a few days before making the ransom call to his father.
Weaknesses: Mentioned several times earlier…his physical strength ^^v
Anything Extra: He does have a little bit of sword training (just basics really, since his father stopped the lessons once he figured out they were occurring).
