Aes had been watching the entire ordeal from the shadows where she had snuck off to earlier. Now was her chance. She leaped from the shadows, sailing headfirst at her rival freelancer in an attempt to tackle him.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" she cried in preparation for battle, injured ankle long forgotten.

"Eh!?" Ba'an as he heard some kind of a cry. He turned around...but it was too late. The young woman went headlong into his diaphragm, knocking the wind out of him and sending him about three or four feet back from where he stood. He landed with a solid thump! on the ground and fainted, having hit his head against a pole.

Artemis had been watching the series of events unfold as quietly as she could, making faint noises instead of coherent words. She gasped as she saw the newcomer slammed into a pole, then bit her lip as she saw him pass out. She felt like she should be doing something, but she didn't know what.
Perhaps it would be best to check on Skye, who was closer, then continue on to... what's-his-face afterwards. Artemis decided that What's-His-Face should be called just that, at least until he revived and could supply her with a proper name.
Artemis wasn't worried about her abilities to treat simple injuries, since she'd learned the basics and, being rather clumsy, used them frequently. But what about Feile? She didn't want to just leave him there, then he might get sad and sad people, she knew, sucked. They were no fun at all, honestly.
With these thoughts in mind, Artemis headed off towards Aes, Skye, and What's-His-Face. "Come on, Feile, let's see if everyone's all right!" she called over her shoulder.

Aes stood up, triumphant over her foe, and sniffed haughtily.
"No one's putting Skye under arrest but me!" she hissed, jerking a thumb at herself as she glared down at the young man. But why wasn't he moving? She squatted down and eyed him analytically.
Oops....I might've overdone it. Still squatting, she tapped her chin in thought, and felt a pang in her ankle. Perhaps it would've been wiser if she had allowed the bounty hunter to actually capture Skye first, and then taken him out. Oh well, too late for regrets. She stood up and dusted herself off nonchalantly, as if she handed out concussions on a regular basis.

As she ran up to the trio (well, duo plus one), Artemis saw Aes look over the young man. He was, apparently, relatively unharmed, because Aes made no move to help him. She stood and dusted herself off, which left Artemis with the impression that this was a normal occurrence.
That just left Skye. Artemis stopped in front of him and gave him an apologetic smile. While it was sincere, it felt foreign on her face, and she quickly let it dissolve into an outright grin.
"Hey Skye! Are you okay?"

"Eeheehee...Flying chocolate..." he mumbled groggily. He then shook his head, yelling, "That's not it!" and jumping onto his feet. ...Eh? was all that ran through his mind as he saw the commotion. The young man who had just been chasing him had been knocked out, with Aes yelling at him, and there was a rather interesting peanut gallery accumulating in the form of a crowd as they came to watch the commotion. Crap. "Um, yes, I'm quite all right. Now if you'll excuse me..." he said, turning around and hurrying away, to avoid more trouble.

Artemis glared and stuck her tongue out at Skye as he rushed away. "Fine, jerk! Geez, he even forgot his friend. LAME!" She huffed for perhaps another half-second, then her attention shifted and she skipped over to Aes and What's-His-Face.
"Aaaaeeeeess!!" she shrieked, hugging her friend from behind. Artemis immediately released her in order to move so that she was in front of Aes, then asked, "He's not dead, right? How's your ankle? I'm in the mood for something sugary, could we get something later?"
((Artemis doesn't have mood swings at aaaall. :D))

"Uhhh....." Aes wasn't used to getting hugged so often, and had stiffened.
"...I'm pretty sure he's not dead," she muttered as she picked up a stick and began prodding the unconscious figure in the chest. He didn't look quite like the bounty hunter she thought he was. He looked strangely...professional. Aes froze.
"..........Erk. UmYes. Artemis, let's go." She turned on her heel and began walking away.

Feile silently followed Artemis like a beaten puppy dog, afraid of what would happen if he refused to go with her. At least the situation had been brought to some amount of order, and he really did feel sorry for the poor fool that had tried to best Skye. This woman named Aes though, she was a bit of an unknown to Feile. Although hurt, she had been able to get the upper-hand with...uh...whoever that pathetic person lying on the ground was.
After the very anti-climatic finish of the new bounty hunter, the crowds mostly went on their way now that all the excitement was over, which made Feile feel better, not being at the center of attention.

"Wait, wait! Hold on a sec, Aes!" Artemis called after her friend. She turned to What's-His-Face and frowned. Unconscious person... what did she do for that again?
Oh, right! She snapped her fingers and looked around. Elevate the feet or legs to get the blood to flow back to the head. Of course, his feet would be completely asleep when he came to, but at least he'd wake up sooner. Now Artemis just needed to find something to raise his feet up on. His sword? No, that'd probably chop his feet off. The armrest of the bench she could see several yards away? Maybe, but then she'd have to drag him over there first. The chunk of metal directly to her right that Skye had carved out of the building? No, that- waaaaaiit.
Artemis grabbed the long hunk of building and pushed it directly in front of What's-His-Face's feet, then lifted his feet and pulled him forward an inch or two with a grunt. She set his feet down on the metal and dusted off her hands. That would have to do, since Aes was leaving and Artemis wanted food.
"Okay, all done! We can go now. C'mon, Feile!" she said as she skipped over to Aes. "So can we stop for candy or something, Aes? Oh, and I still need to finish your design, huh?"

"....Yeah." Aes pulled her cap down over her eyes and continued walking briskly. Right now the most important thing to her was to get away from the official she had just knocked unconscious. She hadn't had any prior experience with them, and preferred to keep it that way.
"...What's the most popular place you know around here?"

Feile took a long glance at the young man before starting to leave. Like Feile, he was in a position of power, though obviously not from a noble family so there was no chance of Feile being recognized. Still, Feile felt a connection to him being a fellow official.
"Um...should we really just abandon him here like this? What if those violent homeless persons come and try to consume him?" Poor, poor misguided Feile. His father had taught him for years that all homeless people preyed on the ususpecting and were cannibals of the highest order. Who was Feile to know any different, having never left the comforts of his home?
And although it was not like Feile to be too terribly compassionate to someone below him, he did feel some responsibility for being involved with Skye in the first place that would lead the official to doom (not really, but Feile believes so). His aristocratic nature would not allow for him to shirk such responsibility.

Artemis blinked. "Uh, 'violent homeless persons'?" She paused and wrinkled her nose. "Consume him?" Then she burst into excessive and raucous laughter. "Eew, that's gross! Who'd want to eat someone like him?" She snorted and giggled again.
"And anyway, how many homeless people do you really think you're going to find on an island designed for tourists? You're silly. Oh." Artemis slowed down as they walked past a side street, peering down it. There certainly was a huge crowd there. She reached out to grab Aes's sleeve, and then seeing that the girl had none, grabbed her braid instead and tugged lightly. "Aes, Aes, that place seems popular," she said, pointing.

"GAH! OW!" Ba'an awoke with a start. His head felt as if it had been struck by an airship, and his version was a bit blurry. His feet also felt a bit cold, which led him to think, Did I fall off of a ship? As soon as the cloudiness cleared, however, he could see that he had not fallen off a ship, and remembered that he had been chasing Skye moments ago. "Dammit! I let him get away...AGAIN!" he shouted, stomping his foot on the ground.

Aes felt a slight tug at the back of her head, and turned to see Artemis gesturing to the side road.
"Ah. I-"
"Dammit! I let him get away...AGAIN!"
The official was awake. They'd better get moving.
"Let's head on down, then," she murmured to her acquaintances, before nonchantly sidling towards the crowd.
